Greetings and salutations to all you pixel artists out there!

I present to you: Iso Collaboration III!

For those of you who don't know the rules, they are as follows:
1. Each person may make one tile, or set of connected, similarly-colored tiles at a time.  For example, you could reserve a single tile, like 75, or you could reserve a block of tiles like {79-88-89} or {21-30-36-44-43} or "That yellow chunk with 35 in it".  Keep in mind that blocks of tiles must be touching along a side and of the same color.  Also, if you do not want to do the entirety of a large block, but want to put tiles in that area, that's fine too.  The block rule is completely optional.
2. Ideally, new tiles should connect to pre-existing tiles, but this rule can be stretched if deemed appropriate.
3. Please announce what tiles you are planning to do.  I will attempt to keep this post updated with the newest version, and mark spaces that are currently in progress.
4. Please try to use colors from tiles that have already been made, so as to attempt to make some semblance of unity in the collaboration.
5. Don't be afraid to break the iso grid.  The last one, though it did not get finished, broke the grid very nicely.
6. Be creative, and overall, have fun!

Ready, set, go!

If i wanted to I could reserve 13, 16, 21,30,36,44,43,51,60,67 and from there go

1. 59,50,49,40,27,28,24,11,8,3,2,5,10,25
2.a) 72,71,85,99,87,101,102,90,104,92,93,107,108,82,81,65,54,53,62,73,78
   b)72,71,85,99,87,101,102,90,104,92,93,107,108,82,81,65,56,47,37,33,22,34

Or go
1.13,16,21,30,36,44,43,28,27,24,11,8,3,2,5,10,25,40,49,50,59,67,51,62,73,72,71,85,99,87,101,102,90,104,92,93,107,108,82,81,65,56,47,37,33,22,34

Just being a nerd.

takaM, great start! Very nice colours, and I like the style of the guy. The flat shading and black outlines gives him something of a boktai vibe.

First post modified with tiles grayed out to note claimed spaces.  Also, rule one has been modified to say "blocks of tiles must be touching along a side and of the same color".  Thanks Sohashu for bringing that error to my attention ;-)

@Sohashu: did you really want 2 and 3?  or did you want 2&5 or 3&8?  2 and 3 are not a legal combination, but I think you knew that ;-)

@Lick: I didn't save the final version of the first collab; the newest version I have is this one.  Does anybody have the final version of that one?  The second one was not finished due to Pixelation going flump, but it looked like this when it stopped.

@TakaM: Nice tile; let's see what people do with this.

@everybody: It would appear that rule 2 is being completely ignored.  I suspect that this will end up being quite interesting, since chances are people will start with completely different themes.  I'll let this stand for now; the last one benefitted from being started in completely different ways.  However, please try to choose tiles near already-completed ones so that this does not end up being a strange patchwork quilt.  Good luck, everyone!

Nice tiles, Neverest!  I'm glad the themes of the thus-submitted tiles are similar.

@mrmean: not only are the tiles you claimed not touching, they aren't even the same color.  So I gave you 17 alone; if you want to claim 38 after you do 17, that's fine.

First post updated again; let's see these claimed tiles get filled!

I'm posting this just to people remember to check the lightsource before start shading, in this case top-left. This can avoid some incompatibilities in the future.  Wink

I don't think we should be saving in the GIF format. I haven't checked it to see how many colours are in there right now, but a 24-bit PNG seems to be the best format for saving to prevent colour loss in the later stages.

@mrmean: that's still not a legal group; those tiles are not the same color.  If you finish 17 and 15 has not yet been chosen, you can take that then.

@Xion: sweet tiles.  I want to see what people are going to do with that.

@.TakaM: No, they do not.  They have to actually touch at a full edge as tiles; the groups you highlighted are in different planes and do not actually touch in three dimensional space.

@Adarias: Very nice tiles.  And yes, you can have the 71,85 block.  They've been grayed for you.

@Dustin: Sure, you can have the whole thing.  It's been grayed for you.

I like how this is progressing.  Now I just have to figure out if there's somewhere I can place a tile without messing the whole thing up :-P

I stole tile 67, and realized that it's been far too long since I've touched pixels.  *chastises self for not practicing more*  Now, everyone do better than me!

Adarias your tiles are absolutely awesome!
I had to compare the pics(and the changes from every person) though to find out who did it. Couldn't you people also post your submissions seperately from the collab? (or maybe I'm just dumb)

And you all thought you could have a grid collab without someone doing a tetris block....

didnt put as much time into this one, probably should have, i can edit if it doesnt fit in with the rest

just wondering, how do we deal with the conflict when two people reserve adjacent spaces, and dont know what the other artist is doing in that space?

Yeah, I thought that too and you really messed with my tiles Tongue
But don't worry, I can handle it.  Grin

@Rerg1 - sorry but you can only reserve blocks of the same color.

Actually, Sohashu's tiles were numbers 2 and 5.  The one .TakaM edited was mine :-P  And I really don't mind; that tile was the first pixeling I've done in about a year and it really sucked.  Thanks for fixing it for me.

Nice tiles, everyone.  I'll go update the first post version now.
